This year, I was invited to join a travel team, the Eagles, at East Valley Baseball in North Hollywood (my baseball pony league). Our team, the East Valley Eagles, has been invited to one of the best youth baseball tournaments in the country. One, that most kids my age, only DREAM about. This tournament will be held in Cooperstown, NY, right where baseball was invented in 1839. This will be the second year our league has sent a team, and last year’s team that participated said the experience was “beyond awesome”. I can only imagine what the experience will be like for my teammates and me.
Another thing about teams that travel is that they are all privately funded. Which means that the team must support themselves. Our team has plans on spending a lot of time fund raising, plans to raise money by selling candy, garage sales, car washes, etc
But, the total cost of the trip is close to $2100 and I need help reaching my goal before the end of July, 2012. My Mom and Dad tell me that money is tight for everyone in today’s economy. So, any amount will be greatly appreciated.
If you would like to help out please make all checks payable to: East Valley Baseball, and somewhere on your check write, Antonio Meda. Check back periodically to see how far the baseball has moved (funds goal meter below) in reaching my dream!

After 2 and half hours of non-stop practice the team gets a
last minute briefing on their journey to Cooperstown. Big thanks to Coaches;
David Beron, Frank Navarro, Sal Meda, Frank Miceli, and Casar Ascencio for
their timeless dedication to the boys. To our special guest, pro coach Jason
Cly for his time in teaching the boys on how to play the game like real men do.
